PROJECTS           Developed and successfully tested a Matlab code that computes the generator matrix for a deterministic signal estimator. The algorithm is based on an innovative convex optimization technique that does not take into account the biasness of the linear estimator. The result is superior performance in the low SNR regime than the popular Least Square Estimator.

Developed, implemented and successfully tested a Matlab code to implement a Maximum Likelihood detector for an OFDM system where the signal was clipped to reduce the PAR (Peak to Average Ratio). For this end, a complete OFDM transceiver (DSP blocks) was implemented using Matlab.

Developed, implemented and successfully tested a Matlab and LABVIEW codes to implement a frequency, amplitude and phase estimator for a signal that is composed of an unknown number of sinusoids corrupted with white Gaussian noise. The frequencies are estimated using different approaches of Power Spectrum Estimation: AR modeling (Yule-Walker), MUSIC and ESPRIT. The amplitudes are computed with the Pisarenko Harmonic Decomposition. The phases are estimated using the Least Square Estimator. Project selected as “Best in class”.

Developed, implemented and successfully tested a Matlab and LABVIEW codes to implement a Head Pose Estimator in digital images. The technique that was used is based on extracting features from images and using neural networks to detect the face pose in each image.

COMPUTER    Operating Systems: UNIX, Windows 95, X-Windows, MS

SKILLS             DOS

Software: Matlab, C, LABVIEW, Excel, Access, Steleus, ProScan
